The Narragansett Indian Tribe's Hand-In-Hand Child Care Center is seeking qualified individuals to fill the following positions: I. Teacher: The classroom Teacher works under the supervision and guidance of the Education Coordinator and is responsible for: the creation and execution of the classroom level cirriculum; the development and implementation of a nurturing environment for the children; and communication with families. Qualifications: Option 1: The individual holds a high school diploma with a vocational concentration in child care and has two (2) years supervised experience in a licensed/approved early childhood program. Option 2: The individual hold a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate and has three (3) years supervised experience in a licensed/approved early childhood program. Option 3: The individual holds a CDA and has one (1) year supervised experience in a licensed/approved early childhood program. II. Teacher Assistant: The Teacher Assistant is responsible for supporting the teacher. Qualifications: An individual must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and hold a High School Diploma or a GED cerfiicate to assume the role of Teacher Assistant. Must have dependable Transportation. We do not close for snow days. Must complete Professional Development course upon hire "Health and Safety course during the COVID-19 Pandemic". Must be CPR/First Aid certified or complete a class upon hire. Will be background checked and drug tested. Recruitment Bonus will be provided upon hiring.
