CHIEF SEAN CORRIGAN POLICE POLICE POLI OLACE TOWN OF NARRAGANSETT Information relating to the qualifications for initial appointment to the Police Department (AN ORDINANCE IN AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 11 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF NARRAGANSETT) may be obtained at the Town Hall, Human Resources, 25 Fifth Avenue. Apply online at www.policeapp.com/NarragansettRI no later than Sunday, June 26, 2022. ALL applications must be submitted online, no exceptions. PLEASE NOTE: PHYSICAL AGILITY TEST & WRITTEN TEST The first phase of the testing is the Physical Agility, which is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 9 a.m. at Narragansett High School, 245 South Pier Road, Narragansett, R.I. You will be required to wear a white t-shirt, blue or black athletic shorts and sneakers for the test. (Shower facilities available after the Fitness test.) You will also be required to provide proof of identification. The identification must be state certified with photo. (i.c. driver's license, passport or military ID.) Please note: The 'Fitness Test Medical Certificate' dated within six months of Saturday, July 9, 2022 must be received when you check-in for the test on July 9th. If you choose to submit this in advance, it will be due no later than June 30, 2022. This form can be faxed to 401-783-6201, emailed to scroy@narragansettri.gov, mailed or delivered to Narragansett Police Department, 40 Caswell Street, Narragansett, RI 02882. It is your responsibility to confirm that it has been received. This certificate clears the candidate for Physical Agility Testing. Failure to provide this completed form will disqualify the candidate and the application fee will be forfeited. The physical agility testing will be conducted using the entrance standards set forth by the Rhode Island Municipal Police Training Academy. Applicants who have successfully passed a Fit to Serve fitness test (www.fit2serveri.com) will be exempt from taking our physical fitness test. If you have passed the Fit to Serve fitness test, you will be able to upload the certificate with the application. The second phase of the testing is the written test which will be held the same day. Saturday, July 9, 2022 in the cafeteria of Narragansett High School. Casual or business casual attire. After the Agility Test there will be a 30-minute break and then the Written Test will commence.
