Be a LITERACY Volunteer Tutor Are you interested in helping basic literacy individuals to read and write? Do you want to help English language learners to learn our language and culture? Join our 2019 Spring Tutor Training Workshop to help adult students in need. COVENTRY PUBLIC LIBRARY It'll be held at Town Hall Annex Literacy Room right across from the Coventry Public Library. FOUR SESSIONS Sessions are on Thursdays, March 14th from 6-9pm 21st from 6-9pm 28th from 6-8pm and April 18th from 6-8pm. CERTIFICATION & 1-1 MATCHING REGISTRATION Registration is required. All tutors must be 18 or older To register or for more information, call 822-9103 or email lvkc@coventrylibrarv.org Midway through training, yo be matched with a student so you may experience the tutor process and receive guidance as needed. At the conclusion of the training, you will be certified as a tutor! Literacy Volunteers of Kent County (LVKC) is a non-profit organization teaching adults basic literacy and English as a second language. We match adult literacy students with volunteer tutors for one-to-one tutoring. We've been serving our community over 38 years and we depend on volunteers like you who give of their time and caring to fight against illiteracy!
